Teaching

Gina teaches singing to adults and children of varying musical abilities. She has had a number of private students and has worked as a singing teacher at Cherry Pie Music, Lewisham and Harrow Music Services, Cheam High and Cleeve Park Secondary Schools and higher education drama conservatoire ALRA. Teaching experience includes leading classroom music, including planning and implementing Wider Opportunities vocal projects for children at Key Stage 2, directing a range of choirs for both adults and children and one to one and small group tuition.

The repertoire taught includes music from the classical, musical and popular genres. Gina's students have been successful in achieving places at London's Brit School and Brighton and Bristol Institute of Modern Music as well as achieving singing grades up to Grade 8, with many awarded Merits and Distinctions.

Gina has led a number of singing and drama workshops. Projects include singing workshops for children with Special Educational Needs aged 8-17 and drama and music workshops based on operas by Handel and Humperdinck for children aged 6-14 with Runaway Opera. Gina most recently led a singing and music education project for young people at Evelina Children's School at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, London.

In addition, Gina teaches the piano to beginners and has designed a special singing, piano and music theory course for children.

Gina completed the KS2 Music CPD with Trinity Guildhall and Open University and the Music Tutor Training Course (Distinction) at CM London in 2008.
