Singing

Gina studied singing as a post graduate student at Trinity College of Music London between 2003 and 2006 with Wendy Eathorne and Robert Aldwinkle. She was awarded the College's highest qualification, a Post Graduate Advanced Diploma in Voice. Whilst at Trinity Gina was awarded a Fellowship for Trinity College London and reached the final of the Lillian Ash Prize for French Song and sang in a development project run by Theatre Complicité.

Companies Gina has performed with include Co Opera Company, Opera Holland Park, Runaway Opera, Wimbledon Light Operatic Society and The Bold Balladiers in London and Opera Anywhere in Oxford.

Full operatic roles include Sextus in Julius Caesar (Handel), Gretel in Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck), Josephine in HMS Pinnafore, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Phyllis in Iolanthe, Elsie in The Yoeman of the Guard (Sullivan), Maria in The Dancing Years (Novello) and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell). Other roles include Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte, Susanna and Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Adele in Die Fledermaus (J Strauss) and The Flight Controller in Flight (Dove).

Gina has given in recitals in London, Kent and Yorkshire and sang solo roles in Bach's Mass in B Minor and St John and St Mathew Passions and Mozart's Mass in C Minor. Solo engagements include performing with Saltwood and Hythe and Folkestone Choral Societies in Kent.

In addition to classical singing, Gina has also sung with modern folk fusion group Izbuha, performing at the Sunrise Festival 2006 in Glastonbury. She currently works with music producers Jardin and Ajanta Music. Gina is the vocalist on Ajanta Music's current album "Above the Cloudline" and performed with them at Las Dalias in Ibiza 2007 and London in 2008 and 2009.

Gina will be singing Josephine in a modern adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinnafore in April in Kent as well as continuing to work with Opera Anywhere in Oxford. Work has also started in the studio for Ajanta Music's next album.
